Huge amount of oil spillage was found at Mumbai's Juhu beach on August 5. Vast swathes of oil and tar balls can be seen all over the sand on the beach. A cleaning drive in the area by Mumbai’s civic body is underway, reported timesnewsnow.com. The source of the spill is not known yet. The sand, anywhere from 5 -7 km has turned black due to the oil spill. It is being collected in tractors as part of the cleaning drive. Actor Richa Chadha tweeted, “There's definitely been an oil spill on Juhu beach... there's grime everywhere...thick, black stuff. Impossible to get off of shoes.”
