Former Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia is now a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. Scindia, one of Rahul Gandhiās close aides joined the BJP on March 12, ending his 18-year association with the Congress. Scindia tendered his resignation from the Congress party on the day of Holi, March 10. Shortly after joining the party, Scindia was named by the party for one of the two Rajya Sabha seats from Madhya Pradesh. Now, a day after changing the party, posters of Jyotiraditya Scindia put up by BJP in Bhopal were removed by the cityās municipal authorities. Meanwhile, Jyotiraditya Scindia met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence.
