The Kolkata police have arrested 19 people for allegedly vandalising property at the RG Kar hospital premises during protests. Mob vandalised the emergency department of the RG Kar Hospital and allegedly attacked cops and media persons shortly after midnight on August 15. A junior doctor was raped & killed at the RG Kar hospital. On August 15, CBI officers visited the residence of the doctor who was raped and murdered, an official told PTI. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has declared a nationwide withdrawal of services by doctors of modern medicine. The protest will begin at 6 AM on August 17 and will last till 6 AM on August 18.
