Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: Doctors’ Protest To Continue As Meeting With Health Ministry Inconclusive

On August 12, Federation of Resident Doctors' Association announced the extension of its indefinite strike to protest the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata. The decision was taken after their meeting with officials from the Union health ministry failed to bring out any resolution, reported PTI. Resident doctors of government hospitals across the country went on indefinite strike after a junior doctor was raped and murdered at the RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The strike has paralysed elective services including OPDs and non-emergency surgeries. Watch the video to know more.
