A bus fell into the Sharda Canal in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district on the morning of February 16. Atleast 32 bodies have been recovered so far of the 60 people reported missing. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for those who have died in the accident. The state government has cancelled a key event in view of the accident, which was to be virtually attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
