Maharashtra government on September 24 announced that schools would reopen across the state from October 4. âAll the schools in rural areas will resume physical classes for standards 5th to 12th,â said school education minister Varsha Gaikwad. She added that physical classes for standards 8th to 12th would resume everywhere in urban areas. Meanwhile, all places of worship will reopen in Maharashtra from October 7. The Maharashtra Chief Ministerâs office tweeted that all the cinema halls in Maharashtra will be allowed to open after October 22. On September 25, 6,36,916 people got vaccinated in Maharashtra, tweeted state health minister Rajesh Tope. India recorded 26,041 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra reported 3,206 cases.
