Manipur Violence: Mob Of Up To 400 Attempts To Enter SP’s Office In Churachandpur, Internet Suspended For Five Days

On February 15, a mob of nearly 300-400 people attempted to storm the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Churachandpur, Manipur, reported ANI. The incident took place hours after a head constable of the district police was suspended for allegedly being seen in a video with armed individuals, reported TOI. The Manipur Police released a statement on X regarding the incident. The Manipur Police said that the mob threw stones and got involved in other violent activities in order to attack the SP’s office. Section 144 has been imposed in the area. The Manipur government temporarily suspended mobile internet in Churachandpur district for five days. Watch the video to know more.
