CryptoMT Vasudevan Nair, one of Mollywood’s most revered writers, passed away in Kozhikode on December 25, 2024. He was 91 at the time of his demise. The legendary writer was just 23 when he wrote his debut album ‘Naalukettu’ in 1958. Apart from his immense contribution to Malayalam literature, MT’s contribution to Malayalam cinema also remains praiseworthy. His collaborations with Malayalam cinema greats Mammootty and Mohanlal include iconic films like Uyarangalil (1984), Panchagni (1986), Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989), Utharam (1989) and Sukrutham (1994) to name a few. MT’s works also spanned novels, documentaries and short stories.
