Recently, casting director Mukesh Chhabra explained why Nitesh Tiwari selected Ranbir Kapoor. During his appearance on The Ranveer Show podcast, Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Ranbir's calm demeanour was essential for the role and emphasised that it was a great decision. He assured that audiences would appreciate this choice after watching the film. ‘Ramayana’ is also reported to feature Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
