A Hyundai Venue car completely sank into the ground in the Ghatkopar area in Mumbai. A video of the incident is going viral on Twitter. The Hyundai Venue owned by a doctor, disappeared into a newly developed sinkhole on the premises of a residential building. The video of the incident was captured by the car owner himself.
Reportedly, Mumbai Police post investigation determined that the parking lot for the residential society was constructed after covering up an old well. Residents said that the society is over 80 years old but the parking area was more recent. It was built up concretising a well that supplied water to the nearby area.
Mumbai Police managed to pull out the vehicle after pumping out the water from the sinkhole. The video of the incident has netizens commenting from across India.
