Mumbai Lashed By Pre-Monsoon Showers, But Rains May Be Delayed Says IMD

Pre-monsoon showers lashed Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai on June 9. However, rains are most likely to miss the official June 11 arrival date, reported The Times of India. On June 9, India Meteorological Department (IMD) tweeted, “Conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of central AS, Goa, some parts of south Maharashtra…” Experts told The Times of India that the south-west rain arrival may not be very robust and heavy rain activity may only shoot up after June 20.
