On January 16, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya has been made into a "Narendra Modi and RSS-BJP function", reported PTI. He added that the function has an "election flavour". Gandhi strongly defended the decision of his party's senior leaders to not accept the invite to the ceremony. He said, “The RSS and the BJP have made the January 22 function a completely political, Nar87endra Modi function. It has become an RSS-BJP function.
