Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a short address as Indians gear up for a long month of festivities. The festival of Navratri is underway and visuals from across the country show that the removal of restrictions on movement of people has people rushing to markets, crowding in restaurants and pubs as well as not observing the guidelines in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Modi cautioned against dropping our guard and said that “Lockdown has gone, not coronavirus…You are risking your family, your children and your elders by doing so," said the Prime Minister. He said that COVID-19 protocols must be followed until a vaccine is developed and distributed.
