Nirbhaya Gangrape & Murder: The Supreme Court on December 18 dismissed the plea filed by one of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gangrape & murder case. The plea was filed seeking review of the 2017 judgement upholding his death penalty. A three-judge bench headed by Justice R Banumati said that there are no grounds to review the 2017 judgement. The court further said that the contentions raised by convict Akshay Kumar Singh were already considered by SC in the main judgment. Watch the video to know the timeline of the case.
