One Nation, One Election. The ruling party has made a strong proposal to conduct the elections to the Lok Sabha and a State assemblies at the same time. It was in the year 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, pushed the idea of simultaneous elections in India. The Law Commission also submitted a draft report to the government on August 30, 2018, endorsing the proposal.
