Plasma Therapy For COVID-19 Patients Begun At Multiple Sites, Says AIIMS Director; Know All About It

The deadly COVID-19 has infected over 2 million people globally. Though doctors, scientists and governments are trying hard to find a cure, there isn’t any still. Experiments are being done with various vaccines, drugs and other treatment methods to fight the novel coronavirus. One such treatment is plasma therapy. The Indian Council of Medical Research has allowed states to start with the clinical trials of plasma therapy. Reportedly, Gujarat, Punjab and Kerala have already started on patients suffering from coronavirus. Randeep Guleria, Director, AIIMS Delhi said, “We have started using convalescent plasma therapy at various centres.”
