Rahul Gandhi accompanied by Congress Party leaders like Randeep Surjewala and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was physically stopped as he attempted to reach Hathras to meet the rape-victim’s family. The convoy was first stopped by UP Police and as he attempted to walk on the Yamunanagar Highway, he was surrounded by UP Policemen and arrested. The UP Police got into a scuffle with Rahul Gandhi and his supporters with videos from the location showing the Congress leader falling to the ground.
