After Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami faced online abuse following team India’s loss to Pakistan in T20 World Cup match on October 24, many sportspersons & Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to social media to extend support. Rahul Gandhi said, “Mohammad Shami we are all with you.” The God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar said, “Mohammad Shami is a committed, world-class bowler.” India’s batting legend Virender Sehwag said, “The online attack on Mohammad Shami is shocking and we stand by him.” Harbhajan Singh tweeted, “We love you Mohammad Shami.” Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan shared his own experience. Commentator Harsha Bhogale slammed the trolls. Indian Badminton player Jwala Gutta said, “Shameful!!” Pakistan won the match by 10 wickets in their Super 12 clash of the T20 World Cup.
