RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das Announces Measures To Mitigate Pain Of Economic Crisis Due To Lockdown

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Shaktikanta Das said that according to International Monetary Fund (IMF) the global economy is expected to plunge into the worst recession since 'The Great Depression'. However, he said that India is expected to make a sharp recovery and economy could be growing at 7.4% in 2021-22. The RBI Governor announced measures to increase liquidity in the economy and announced fresh measures to help prevent bankruptcy in small and medium-sized businesses.
