Dutch Soccer Referee Accidentally Scores Goal In League Game, Then Proceeds To Award It

A football game being played in the Dutch fourth-tier league between Harkemase Boys and HSV Hoek took a unique turn, when the referee officiating the match accidentally scored in the game.  Referee Maurice Paarhuis then proceeded to count the goal. Harkemase Boys tweeted a video of the incident as the decision by many is being called bewildering.  However, the referee's logic was that he was a "dead element" and could not but allow the goal.
