RR vs GT IPL 2025 Stat Highlights: Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Sensational Century Bring Rajasthan Royals Back to Winning Ways

Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by eight wickets in IPL 2025 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, on April 28.  Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Like they do in every game, Gujarat Titans started strong through their openers. Shubman Gill (84) and Sai Sudharsan (39) stitched up a partnership of 93 runs before the latter got dismissed by Maheesh Theekshana (2/35). Gujarat Titans didn't drop off and carried on with Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler (50*) taking on the Rajasthan Royals' bowling attack. Maheesh Theekshana struck again, dismissing Shubman Gill but Jos Buttler teed off and, along with the support from Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia, powered Gujarat Titans to a strong 209/4. Chasing it, Rajasthan Royals got off to a flying start with Yashasvi Jaiswal (70*) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (101). It seemed like they might slow down in the middle overs,, but they carried on and the latter ended up with a 35-ball century, becoming the second fastest IPL centurion and the youngest to get to the mark in the history of the competition. Despite Prasidh Krishna dismissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Rashid Khan scalping the wicket of Nitish Rana, Riyan Parag (32*) and Yashasvi Jaiswal saw the Rajasthan Royals home. This is the third victory for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 and third defeat for Gujarat Titans.
