Sweden: Powerful Blast Rips Through Apartment Complex, At Least 25 Injured, Reports Suggest Gang Activity

On September 28 morning, a powerful explosion ripped through an apartment building in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. Reportedly, four people were seriously hurt in an explosion. About 25 people were taken to hospital after the blast set ablaze the building in a central residential area. Firefighters pulled people from the building while others used tied sheets to lower themselves from balconies as grey smoke billowed out of stairwells and windows, reported The Guardian. Sahlgrenska University hospital spokesperson told The Guardian that three women and one man were treated for serious injuries. “Everyone should know that society is always stronger than crime” Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said.
