Sylvester daCunha, Man Behind The Iconic ‘Utterly Butterly Amul Girl', Passes Away

Sylvester daCunha, advertising industry legend, is no more. The Gujarat-based milk cooperative that owns the dairy brand informed about the sad demise of Sylvester daCunha on June 21. daCunha was the creator of the iconic 'Amul Girl' campaign that began in the 1960s. daCunha was the man behind the 'Utterly Butterly' campaign for Amul. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh called daCunha ‘legend Indian advertising.’ Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien tweeted, “Pay tribute to Mr daCunha by sharing your most loved Amul ad.”
