Tamil Nadu Rains: Heavy Rainfall Continues To Wreak Havoc in Chennai & Others Areas; Schools, Colleges Closed

Heavy Rains continue to disturb normal life for people in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu On October 16. Several areas witnessed waterlogging and traffic congestion. In view of heavy rain alert, the Tamil Nadu government declared a holiday for schools and colleges in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu districts On October 15 and 16, reported PTI. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for parts of the state with warnings for "very heavy rainfall" on October 17 and 18. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin took stock of the situation amid incessant rains.
