Tripura: 88 Packets Of Cannabis Worth Over Rs 70 Lakh Seized, One Detained

In a joint operation, Police and Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a truck andย seizedย 'ganja' (cannabis)ย worthย aroundย Rsย 70ย lakhย inย Tripuraโ€™s Churaibari on November 24. They haveย seizedย 88ย packetsย of dryย cannabisย weighing 818 kg. While speaking to ANI, the police official said, โ€œThe driver of the truck has been detained. The โ€˜ganjaโ€™ consignment wasย seizedย from a truck with a Haryana registration number from the Churaibari check post at theย Tripura-Assam border.โ€ Further investigation is underway in this regard.
