12th August 2019 marks the 100th birth anniversary of Vikram Sarabhai. Widely known as the father of India's space programme, Vikram Sarabhai was a renowned Indian physicist and industrialist. Born in Ahmedabad, Sarabhai went on to study in Cambridge, only to return to deepen independent India's scientific temperament and take it to greater horizons.
