The Election Commission of India has made it clear that EVMs are here to stay and there will be no going back to ballot paper voting. In Lok Sabha Elections 2019, all polling stations will be equipped with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and VVPATs. It is an electronic device for casting and recording votes.
