On November 13, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleged a multi-crore Bitcoin scam in Karnataka. He also accused the BJP government of cover-up. Gandhi demanded that an independent probe be conducted into the matter by a SIT monitored by the Supreme Court. He took to Twitter and said, “Bitcoin Scam is big. But the Bitcoin Scam Cover-up is much bigger. Because it has to cover up someone’s fake big ego.” Randeep Surjewala, Congress spokesperson, posed a set of six questions to PM Narendra Modi. Surjewala asked what was the role of Basavaraj Bommai, Karnataka Chief Minister, who was the state's home minister when the scam happened.
