New Delhi/Islamabad, August 7: A day after the Parliament gave its nod the Modi government's decision to revoke special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370, Pakistan on Wednesday formed a seven-member panel to launch a diplomatic offensive against India. The committee will recommend legal, political and diplomatic options that Pakistan has to oppose India's move to scrap Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan also summoned a second session of the National Security Committee (NSC) within a week following the Indian government's move to scrap special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The last NSC meeting was held on August 4 to discuss India's "use of cluster ammunition to target the civilian population on the Pakistani side of Kashmir". Article 370 Gone, Now Go Marry Fair Kashmiri Girls: UP BJP MLA Vikram Saini Tells Party Workers.

On Tuesday, Khan addressed a joint session of the National Assembly where he said that the revocation of the special status for Jammu and Kashmir would result in another Pulwama-like attack, which can lead to a war between India and Pakistan. "I can already predict this will happen. They will attempt to place the blame on us again. They may strike us again, and we will strike back," Khan told his country's parliament. J&K Loses Privileges Under Article 370, Article 35A: What Does it Mean For Kashmiris and Other Indians?

"What will happen then? They will attack us and we will respond and the war can go both ways... But if we fight a war till we shed the last drop of our blood, who will win that war? No one will win it and it will have grievous consequences for the entire world. This is not nuclear blackmail," he added. Slamming the repeal of special status to Jammu and Kashmir, Khan had called on the world to raise its voice "for the people of Indian-Administered Kashmir".

Earlier today, Pakistan's Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Hussain Chaudhry said that Islamabad can approach the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the Indian government's move to scrap special status for Jammu and Kashmir.
