Police Secure The Scene
Authorities later confirmed in a follow-up post that the scene had been secured. Local media reported that the shooting took place in an area where a salsa festival was underway at the time of the attack.

The Toronto shooting comes soon after another attack in Montreal late last month, where two people, including a police officer, were killed by an assailant who was subsequently shot dead by law enforcement.
