Medininagar (Jharkhand), July 11 (PTI) A Palamau court Thursday awarded life sentence to a notorious gangster and his associate in a double murder case.

Pronouncing the life sentence, the District and Sessions Court Judge Pankaj Kumar also imposed Rs one lakh penalty on each of the convict - gangster Sujit Sinha and his associate Goutam Kumar Singh.

The duo was arrested in connection with the killing of Sunil Singh and Bhusan Singh on February 21, 2006 in Medininagar for refusing to give extortion.
