Kolkata, Nov 13 (PTI) A fire broke out on Wednesday in a market near Anwar Shah Road in south Kolkata, a Fire Brigade official said.

The blaze was brought under control in about one and half hours with 16 fire tenders having been pressed into service, he said.

No one was reported to be injured in the blaze, a police officer said.

The fire broke out at Sandhya bazar near Anwar Shah Road at 3.20 pm and it was brought under control at around 4.50 pm, the Fire Brigade official said.
