Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) [India], October 17 (ANI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday expressed grief over the death of six children in Hazaribagh's Lotwa dam.
Hemant Soren posted on X, " My heart is saddened by the sad news of the drowning of six children in Lotwa Dam of Hazaribagh district. Relief and rescue work is being done by the district administration. May God grant peace to the souls of the children who died in the accident and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this difficult time of grief."

Banna Gupta, Health and Disaster Management Minister, Odisha also expressed his condolences over the incident.
"The bodies of three school children who drowned in Lotwa Dam while bathing in Hazaribagh have been recovered, the search for the rest is going on, @DC_Hazaribaghas been directed for relief and rescue, I express my condolences to the deceased and I wish for the safe return of the remaining children, the district administration should provide immediate help," tweeted Gupta.
Seven students of Mount Egmont School, Hazaribagh went to the Lotwa dam to take a bath.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
