Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 24 (ANI): A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lokendra Parasar has slammed the Congress party after an obscene video of a Congress MLA surfaced on social media on Thursday and said that the party chief Kamal Nath should take immediate action into the matter.
An obscene video of the Congress MLA Suresh Raje from Dabra assembly seat in Gwalior district went viral viral on social media on Thursday. The viral video is said to be quite old. In the viral video, the MLA is seen making an unnatural relationship.
Speaking to ANI, Parashar said, “The video which has surfaced via social media is very serious, objectionable and shameful. Millions of people see their leader in the MLA and MP. I believe that the public representative has no life of his own. The society looks at him closely and the society follows him, so what kind of society will be formed because of such people, its imagination is very scary.”
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Kamal Nath should come forward and clarify the situation of the party, what action the party is going to take against such workers and such MLA, the BJP leader said.
He added, “Prima facie it is a crime and it is a stigma for any civilised society. The law will do its job as there is rule of law in Madhya Pradesh. But it is the responsibility of the Congress that if it is a political party, then it is their responsibility towards the society, Kamal Nath ji should take the strictest action immediately.”
Meanwhile, the Congress MLA Raje, whose video went viral, told ANI, “My obscene video which is going viral on social media is completely edited. It is 100 percent edited. I will file a complaint with the police after talking to my legal advisor. This is a conspiracy of the opponents, they want to implicate me.”
“People who made the video were demanding Rs 50 lakh. I will file a complaint regarding the video which went viral on social media,” he added.
Notably, Raje became the MLA from Dabra constituency during the 2020 by-poll by defeating the then minister and BJP leader Imarti Devi, who is considered a loyalist of union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. (ANI)
