Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], September 5 (ANI): In a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttarakhand government transferred 40 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and four IAS Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers, according to an order released on Wednesday night.

According to the notice, the district magistrates of some major districts, including the magistrate of the capital city, Dehradun, have also been changed.

Savin Bansal of the 2009 IAS Batch has been named the new DM of Dehradun. He will be replacing Sonika, who will now take responsibility for Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) along with Additional Secretary and Registrar in Cooperatives.

Dhiraj Garbyal has been removed as the District Magistrate of Haridwar and was given the post of Additional Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD) and Commissioner of Rural Development. Karmendra Singh has been made the new District Magistrate of Haridwar.

Former District Magistrate of Pithoragarh Reena Joshi has made Additional Secretary Personnel. Vinod Giri Goswami has been named as the new District Magistrate of Pithoragarh.

Alok Kumar Pandey has been made the new District Magistrate of Almora, replacing Vineet Tomar. Ashish Bhatgai is made the DM of Bageshwar, replacing Anuradha Pal from the post.

In Chamoli district, Himanshu Khurana has been removed from the post of District Magistrate and Sandeep Tiwari has been named the new DM of Chamoli. (ANI)
