Khattar Announces to Renovate 134 Pilgrim Centres in 5 Districts of Haryana
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said Friday that his government will improve infrastructure of 134 pilgrim centres located in five districts of the state.
Chandigarh, Sep 28 (PTI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said Friday that his government will improve infrastructure of 134 pilgrim centres located in five districts of the state.
These pilgrim centres are located in Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat and Jind.
He visited 13 pilgrim centres in Karnal district and announced development works amounting to about Rs 18.39 crore.
"Today is an important day in my life as I got the chance to visit pilgrimage sites mentioned in the Mahabharata," Khattar said.
Last year, about 24 lakh people from different states of the country and from abroad visited Brahmsarovar in Kurukshetra, according to an official statement issued here.
