Noida, Sep 7 (PTI) Gautam Buddh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma and Noida MLA Pankaj Singh Friday held a meeting with Noida Authority officials and representatives of all RWAs during which a nod was given for the construction of a habitat centre in Sector 94.

The Noida Authority would be providing the resident welfare associations (RWAs) in five sectors 75 per cent of the total funds which should be used by the RWAs for ensuring sanitation and other services in their areas, according an official statement.

"Fifty per cent of the revenue generated from the 'baraat ghars' in each sector would be given to the RWAs so that they can take care of small repairs and maintenance works in their area," the statement issued by the Noida Authority said.

In the meeting, the representatives of RWAs from all sectors had put up their issues, mostly related to water supply, cleanliness of drains and installation of street lights.

Sharma, who is also a Union Minister, asked the authority officials, including the chief executive officer and the additional CEO, to look into the concerns raised by the representatives.

He told the officials to be more sensitive towards the problems of the residents.

"No wrongdoing would be allowed in Noida, while the works beneficial for the public would continue," Singh said.

The MP and the MLA have asked the authority to ensure timely settlement of the residents' issues and compliance to the orders.
