Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the launch of Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS) with an outlay of Rs 400 crore to boost defence industry under 'Make in India' initiative.
New Delhi [India], May 15 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the launch of Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS) with an outlay of Rs 400 crore to boost defence industry under 'Make in India' initiative."The Ministry of Defence has launched the DTIS to boost the defence industry under 'Make in India' initiative. The indigenous defence equipment will also be tested and certified in India. The government shall contribute Rs 400 crore as grant-in-aid for the scheme," the RMO India tweeted. "In order to give a boost to domestic defence and aerospace manufacturing, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the launch of DTIS with an outlay of Rs 400 crore for creating a state-of-the-art testing infrastructure for this sector," added the RMO.
