Terrorist Killed in Handwara Encounter Was Affiliated to JeM: Kashmir Police

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Mar 7 (ANI): Kashmir Police on Thursday said that according to reports the killed terrorist was a Pakistan national and was affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed.“The operation in Handwara is almost over, the search is in the final stage. As per the reports which we are getting from the field is that the killed terrorist was a Pakistani national and was affiliated with JeM terrorist outfit,” Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police SP Pani said.“The search is going on, arms and ammunition have been recovered from the spot. As soon as the search is over, we should be able to tell you further details about the operation. In this operation there was no collateral damage, the security forces coordinated in the operation very well,” he added.Earlier in the day, one terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces in Handwara in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
