Hyderabad, Jan 3 (PTI) The pro-farmer schemes of the TRS-led government in Telangana have inspired other states to implement similar schemes, TRS working president K T Rama Rao said Thursday.
Rythu Bandhu is a thought that originated in our Chief Minister's mind.
We can proudly say that the scheme has inspired all states across the country, he said at a party workers' meeting in his Assembly constituency of Sircilla.
He claimed that Orissa, Jharkhand and West Bengal have appreciated the state's flagship programmes such as 'Rythu Bandhu' and 'Rythu Beema' and started similar schemes in their states.
Under the 'Rythu Bima' scheme, every farmer would get life insurance cover of Rs five lakh.
According to the 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme, the government provides Rs 8,000 per acre for two crops to every farmer as investment support.
He exhorted the party activists to work for its victory in the upcoming rural local body polls, which would be followed by urban local body polls and Lok Sabha elections.
