Two Youths Nabbed with Fake Currency Notes Worth Rs 34.5 K: Police

Two youths found in possession of fake currency notes worth Rs 34,500 were arrested from near Jaipur railway station on Tuesday, said police.

Jaipur, Aug 6 (PTI) Two youths found in possession of fake currency notes worth Rs 34,500 were arrested from near Jaipur railway station on Tuesday, said police.

The accused were identified as Sitaram Jat and Rajveer Jat alias Ramesh, both in their early twenties, said Additional Director Genera (ATS & SOG) Anil Paliwal.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted the duo near the Jaipur railway station, said Paliwal, adding on being searched they were found in possession of Rs 34,500 fake currency notes.

A total of 10 fake currency notes in Rs 2,000 denomination were recovered from Rajveer whereas seven notes in Rs 2,000 denomination and one Rs 500 note totalling Rs 14,500 was recovered from Sitaram, Paliwal added.

Both the accused are being interrogation about the source of currency notes, he added.
