Pune, Sep 27 (PTI) NCP chief Sharad Pawar said on Friday that he had no plans to contest the Satara Lok Sabha byelection.

The byelection became necessary after NCP's Satara MP Udayanraje Bhosale resigned and joined the ruling BJP.

"I have already announced that I will not contest the elections. We (Congress and NCP) have thought of some names such as Prithviraj Chavan, Srinivas Patil and Sunil Mane for the seat, but we are yet to finalise the candidate," Pawar told reporters here.
