Mumbai, March 16: BMW Motorrad today expanded its premium performance portfolio in India with the official launch of the 2026 BMW M 1000 R. Positioned as a high-performance naked superbike, the motorcycle is imported as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and represents the pinnacle of the brand’s roadster lineup. The 2026 iteration brings a significant design overhaul and several mechanical upgrades aimed at enhancing both street and track performance. The most notable change is the new front fascia, which replaces the previous single-pod headlight with a dual LED setup derived from the RR superbike family. This motor produces a peak output of 210 hp at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,100 rpm, allowing for a 0–100 km/h sprint time of just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h.
