Hero MotoCorp is continuing to expand its footprint in the premium motorcycle segment with a new entry-level adventure model. Recent images from the factory floor indicate that the manufacturer is preparing a smaller-displacement off-road motorcycle to sit below its existing Xpulse lineup.
The uncamouflaged test mule sports a bright orange finish and features an upright adventure stance, an up-swept exhaust for water wading, dual-purpose tyres, and a chunky rear luggage rack. As per a report by Rushlane, the compact proportions align closely with recent design patent leaks and previous road-testing sightings, pointing toward an imminent market introduction. Hero Xpulse 160 Design and Styling
The styling cues visible on the leaked test unit include a tall fuel tank paired with sharp tank shrouds, a single-piece scooped-out seat, and a prominent front beak. Furthermore, the motorcycle features modern LED projector headlights along with fork gaiters on the front suspension.
The hardware setup is expected to retain traditional off-road dimensions, likely featuring a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel configuration. Standard disc brakes are visible at both ends, though they utilize conventional circular rotors rather than petal-type units.
Hero Xpulse 160 Engine and Performance
Underpinning the new adventure motorcycle is expected to be a compact, air-cooled powertrain derived from the manufacturer's existing 160cc ecosystem, similar to the unit powering the Xtreme 160R. This engine choice is intended to offer a lightweight and accessible alternative to heavier 200cc and 210cc models. Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer New Model; When Will It Launch, What to Expect?.
