Speaking in a recent interview with India Today, Radhika Apte described the profound distress caused by the unauthorised circulation of the private footage. She emphasised how such leaks transcend online criticism to impact an individual's daily life and sense of security. "We were talking about being able to do intimate scenes, but once something I had done was leaked, I literally couldn't step out of the house for four days," Apte stated.

The actress detailed the immediate and personal fallout, explaining that the situation became even more challenging when the clip reached people in her immediate circle. "The problem is that it can come home very quickly. Your doorbell can ring, and somebody can be outside your house because they felt offended. So, it's not that easy. It's much more complicated," she explained.

Apte further disclosed the intimate nature of the invasion, sharing, "I remember my stylist telling me that her driver couldn't stop looking at the clip and kept asking her, 'You're going to her house?' My watchman had seen it as well. Things like that started happening, and it became very difficult to deal with".

Concerned for her safety, particularly as she was living alone, Apte took proactive steps to address the situation with her staff. She recalled calling her driver and 'spot dada' (assistant) to discuss the leaked clip directly. "'There is a clip that has been leaked. Have you seen it? Because if you have not, I'll send it to you. Watch it. If you're okay with it, then you have to protect me. Otherwise, do not work with me. Here's your salary; you can go'," she recounted, adding that both assured her of their support.
