In a rare and candid conversation on Farah Khan’s YouTube vlog, veteran actor Rajpal Yadav shared his reflections on his recent time in Tihar Jail following a long-standing legal dispute. The actor, known for his iconic comedic timing, displayed a surprisingly philosophical outlook on the experience, crediting his humble roots and the support of the film fraternity for his resilience. The meeting took place at the home of Yadav’s manager, Sakett Saawhney, where Farah was accompanied by her long time cook, Dilip. Prior to the sit-down, Farah hailed Yadav as "the most talented, extremely funny, and one of the most veteran actors in the industry." Rajpal Yadav Opens Up About Jail Experience
When pressed by Farah about whether his celebrity status earned him special treatment behind bars, Yadav was quick to clarify that he followed the same protocols as any other inmate. "I won’t say there were fans or not, but the discipline and legalities that are created for that space were thoroughly followed," Yadav replied. He noted that while he was not assigned kitchen duties or manual labour, he maintained a strict adherence to prison rules. Farah noted his lack of bitterness, to which Yadav responded, "No, I have learnt to live in all kinds of conditions... If I am in some kind of problem today, I will stay within the cinema community and cooperate in all kind of procedures until the truth comes out."
Sonu Sood Backed Rajpal Yadav During Crisis
The vlog also touched upon the wave of support Yadav received when he first entered jail. Farah highlighted Sonu Sood as one of the first to stand by him. Sood had previously launched a campaign on X (formerly Twitter), urging producers to sign Yadav and pay advances to ensure he maintained his "dignity" during financial hardship. However, Yadav clarified his stance on the matter to SCREEN, dispelling rumors that he was desperate for projects. "Please get over the misconception that I need to keep asking for work... Work doesn’t find me, it has lived with me for the last 11 years," he stated. In response, Sonu Sood told HT City, "I didn’t say he needs work. I said ‘Sign him and pay advances because he deserves it.’" Rajpal Yadav Strongly REACTS to Priyadarshan Blaming His ‘Poor Education’ for INR 9 Crore Debt.

Rajpal Yadav Thanks Supporters Amid Legal Battle
Yadav expressed deep gratitude to those who helped him "physically, emotionally, and financially" without seeking social media clout. Aside from Sood, he credited Tej Pratap Yadav, Indrajeet Rao and Amit Sharma, along with dozens of others who remained anonymous. "The entire world was standing with me," Yadav remarked, reflecting on the 600 crore hearts he believes Indian cinema touches. The actor's appearance on the vlog comes just a day after the Delhi High Court reserved its verdict on April 2 in his INR 9 crore cheque bounce case. While Yadav has served his initial sentence, the court is currently deliberating on the final financial settlement after mediation attempts between the actor and Murali Projects Pvt Ltd failed to reach a consensus.
