When asked if Natasha has had any influence over his life, he revealed that films like October and Badlapur were signed keeping her in mind. " I decided to do a film like Badlapur or October because of her. It’s because of her and some of our friends that I do slightly different films. They like such kind of cinema. What’s special about our relationship is that I have someone, who isn’t with me just because I’m an actor. It’s amazing to have someone like that in your life. We bond over each other and that’s the main thing. We’ve known each other for too long, so the connection is deep. It’s like family. It’s always been so," he said. Varun Dhawan Stares Right Into Your Eyes in This Filmfare Cover and Makes You Go Weak in the Knees

Ask him if his numerous linkup stories affect Natasha and he said she's unperturbed by it.  Varun feels such stories don't bother her anymore. "She doesn’t react. Honestly, it doesn’t matter now. She’s read so many stories. Even when I’m with her, there’s a story of me being somewhere else. She’s grown used to it by now. We’ve never let that be part of our relationship. I’ve always wanted to have a world outside films. My first love is films and everyone in my life knows that. After that come Natasha, my family, and my friends. I just don’t make relationships to let go of them."
