Taking to her Instagram account, Thapanda admitted she was hesitant to speak publicly but felt compelled due to growing assumptions and relentless questions directed at her, her friends, and both families. She described her struggle to process the loss amid intense public scrutiny.

"I never imagined I would have to write something like this. I have neither the energy nor the mental strength to write this or even put this out into the world," she wrote.

The actress spoke highly of Upadhyaya, noting that he played an important role in her life. "With everything that has happened, I have also lost someone who was very close to my heart, someone who stood by me, protected me, and cared for me with nothing but kind heart," she shared, adding that his loss has left an indescribable void.
