Vijay Deverakonda to Lead Telugu Remake of ‘Laalo’
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Deverakonda was selected for the central character of Lord Krishna, putting to rest earlier industry speculation that actor Ram Charan was initially being considered for the role.
The casting choice gives Deverakonda an opportunity to portray a modern incarnation of a divine entity. Sources close to the project indicate that the rights were secured through producer Vipul D Shah of Optimystix, facilitating Dil Raju's entry to adapt the Gujarati hit for South Indian audiences.
