Namit Khanna said that he will have to deal with angry Surbhi fans, who only want to see her with Nakkul Mehta.
As we had earlier reported that Siddharth Malhotra is all set to bring popular medical TV show Sanjivani back on the television, Surbhi Chandna, who won hearts of many with her role as Anika in Star Plus' Ishqbaaz, and a fresh face Namit Khanna, who was last seen in Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai opposite Palak Jain, have been roped in as the lead actors for the medical drama. Earlier speculations were rife that Ishqbaaz actor Nakuul Mehta will be paired opposite Surbhi; however, later the reports were dismissed. Well, this decision had disappointed the fans of Nakuul and Surbhi. Ishqbaaz Actress Surbhi Chandna’s Sanjivani Remake Goes on Floors From THIS Month?
Talking about the trolls he will have to face for being cast opposite him, Namit said that he will have to deal with angry Surbhi fans, who only want to see her with Nakkul Mehta. Yes, you read that right! In a statement to IMWBuzz, the actor said, "Well since we have not really started shooting so it's ok for now; but then I guess I will have to deal with it. Everybody has the right to say what they want. So I rather concentrate on putting my best for the moment, as you know it is not easy."
While we wonder if Sanjivani remake is anything like the previous medical dramas, which was full of romance, the actor revealed to the entertainment portal, "Well the creative know better what works and why. Rest assured it will have a mix of everything to keep all types of audience hooked on from day one," further adding, "It has done superbly all the world e.g Grey Anatomy. I personally like the drama unfolding in a hospital. Also, they offer a break from the normal TV template"
Bankrolled by Siddharth Malhotra’s banner Alchemy Films, Sanjivani remake is the remake of Sanjivani: A Medical Boon, which aired on Star Plus in the year 2002. Later, Dill Mill Gaye, a sequel to the show aired from 2007 to 2010. Sanjivani: A Medical Boon featured stellar cast like Gurdeep Kohli, Mihir Mishra, Rupali Ganguly, and Mohnish Behl, while its sequel Dill Mill Gaye saw actors like Karan Singh Grover, Sukriti Kandpal, Shilpa Anand, Karan Wahi and Jennifer Winget in the lead roles.
